Board of Governors

Robert Barnes

Mr. Robert Barnes was elected to the board in 2006 and currently serves as the Board’s treasurer. Owner of the Chick-fil-A restaurant on 9 Mile Road in Pensacola, he and his family moved here from the Nashville, TN area in 2001. Robert is an active board member of the Northwest Florida Foundation. He and his wife Connie are proud parents to three sons, Gary, Josh, and Bryce. Gary is a Trinitas alumni and Josh and Bryce attend Trinitas. The Barnes are active members of McIlwain Presbyterian Church.

DSCF3971 Joshua Butcher

Mr. Joshua Butcher is an ex-officio member of the Board of Governors as the Lead Secondary School Teacher.  Josh, his wife Hannah, and their three sons attend Christ Church in Pace, Florida where they play an active role in the church community.  His two oldest boys, Josiah and Jeremiah, attend Trinitas.

Mr. Ron Gilley was elected to the board in 2007 and sits now on the board as an ex-officio member as lead teacher of the Grammar School. Mr. Gilley and his wife Janice have two sons, Colby and Parker both Trinitas students, and are active members of Providence Church.

Rob Hadding

Pastor Rob Hadding was elected to the board in 2008.  Rev. Hadding is the Pastor of Christ Church in Pace. He answered a call to full-time pastoral ministry after having spent over twenty years in sales and business management. He and his wife Marty have five children – Sarah, Emily, Sam, Abby, and Claire, four of which attend Trinitas.

Robert Kimmel

A longtime, involved member of the Trinitas family, Mr. Robert Kimmel was elected to the Board of Governors in the spring of 2012 and is serving as the secretary.  Bob is a local attorney and attends McIlwain Presbyterian Church with his wife, Susie.  Both his children, Mary Proffit and Winston, are Trinitas alumni and are in the honors programs at their respective colleges.

Bob McGee

Mr. Bob McGee joined the board in 2002 and currently serves as the Board’s President. Coming from a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy, including service as an aviator in the Gulf War, Mr. McGee is now Manager of Marketing Services with Gulf Power. Born in Maryland, Mr. McGee and his wife Terri have lived in Pensacola since 1990. Mr. McGee’s commitment to Christ and to quality classical education makes him a valued member of the Board of Governors. Mr. and Mrs. McGee are active members of Christ Church, along with their four children: Collin and Sean who attend Trinitas and Robert and Chrisann, who are Trinitas alumni.

Ed Noland

Dr. Ed Noland is a founding member of the Trinitas Board of Governors currently on sabbatical who, along with several other families, laid the original foundation for a classical and Christ-centered education at Trinitas. Dr. Noland was born in Gulf Breeze, Florida, but he and his wife Cathy have called Pensacola home for more than a decade. A dentist with a thriving private practice in Pensacola, Dr. Noland is a well-loved and respected member of the community. Cathy is the Trinitas librarian, and her hard work and dedication are recognized by everyone in the Trinitas family. Dr. and Mrs. Noland have one child, Ben, who is a student at Trinitas, and two children, Rob and Hannah, who are Trinitas graduates. The Nolands are active members of Providence Church.

Wesley Todd

Elected to the board in December 2010 and currently serving as Vice President, Mr. Wesley Todd is a native Pensacolian. He graduated from Pensacola State College with an Associate of Arts degree in business and is employed by Gulf Power Company. Mr. Todd and his lovely wife Jennifer are active members of Christ Church. After a long search for a school for their daughters, Jillian and Emma, that provided an educational environment centered squarely on Christ, the Todds joined the Trinitas family in 2006.

Administration

DSCF4029 Ken Trotter

Mr. Trotter has been the Administrator of Trinitas Christian School since the school’s inception in 1999 and has charted the course for the school’s direction since its earliest days, providing visionary leadership in all areas. Mr. Trotter is originally from Pensacola, but calls Milton, Florida, home, along with his wife Kenwyn and their four children: Kaleb, Kandace, Kanaan, and Khristian. He received his B.A. from Asbury College and M.Ed. from the University of Louisville. Before coming to Trinitas, Mr. Trotter was the school counselor at Washington High School for 5 years and an administrator at Pensacola Junior College for 5 years.

Mrs. Trotter serves as Dean of Students and Academic Affairs. A first generation American, Mrs. Trotter is the daughter of an English father and Australian mother and had the opportunity to live in various places in Africa and the United States while growing up. Mrs. Trotter received her B.A. from the University of Mobile. She and her husband live in Milton, Florida with their four children, one of whom is a Trinitas student, and three of whom are Trinitas graduates.

Mrs. Howell is the school secretary at Trinitas and works tirelessly to help the administration and students in countless ways. Originally from Texas, Mrs. Howell has called Pensacola home for 13 years. She and her husband Curtis have two children, one of whom is a Trinitas graduate with our first Trinitas legacies.

Trinitas welcomed Mrs. Schroeder onto its administrative staff in January of 2004. Mrs. Schroeder works as the Events and Activities Coordinator, and organizes the highly successful Trinitas Classic. Originally from Pensacola, Mrs. Schroeder and her late husband Michael have three boys, two are Trinitas graduates and one is a Trinitas student.

Mrs. Noland has served as Librarian at Trinitas since the school’s beginning. Mrs. Noland has worked to build a quality library that students and parents alike enjoy. Wife of board member Ed Noland, Mrs. Noland is the mother of one Trinitas student and two Trinitas graduates.

DSCF3937 Kristie Johnson

Ms. Johnson joined the staff in 2006 as a substitute teacher and has since taught kindergarten art, music, fourth and fifth grade science, first grade, and Pre-Algebra. She graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in psychology. Ms. Johnson has one daughter who attends Trinitas and works as an administrative assistant in the office.
