Trinitas Christian School senior, Master Jon Adler, was named a semi-finalist in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). On September 10, 2014, officials announced approximately 16,000 names of academically talented high school seniors that now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for 7,600 scholarships worth about $33 million that will be offered next spring by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Master Adler will now complete the application process which will include his academic, service, leadership, and extracurricular records and an original essay. National Merit Scholars will be chosen from about 15,000 that will be designated finalists after applications are received. Trinitas congratulates Master Adler and his family on this stellar achievement.

Trinitas Christian School senior, Khristian Trotter, won second place in the National Chrysostom Competition sponsored by the Association of Classical and Christian Schools (ACCS). Master Trotter will present his speech, The Test of Fairyland: Flight into Freedom or Race from Reality, at the annual ACCS conference to be held this year in Orlando, Florida. The distinction also earned him a $500 award and expenses paid trip to the Orlando conference. Congratulations, Master Trotter! Trinitas is so proud of you.
The Five Flags Fiesta 5k was the running club’s final race for this school year. Twenty three students and parents completed the race this Saturday with thirteen runners placing in the top three of their respective age groups.

Winners in the 2013-2014 Trinitas Art Contest were awarded Friday, March 28th during the Trinitas Christian School morning meeting. Our independent judge this year, Mr. Christian Hemme, graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Arts from Pensacola Christian College. Trinitas wishes to thank Mr. Hemme for his efforts in choosing the best of the student submissions. Our young artists were showcased at the 2014 Music Recital and Art Presentation and are as follows.

Trinitas alumnus, Master Seth Payne, class of 2011, was recently awarded a Foundation Study Abroad Scholarship from the University of West Florida (UWF) Office of Diversity and International Education and Programs. He has chosen to study in Finland the summer of 2014. Master Payne has been invited to share stories from his experience at the Study Abroad Symposium during International Education Week in November at UWF. Congratulations, Master Payne!
Twenty-six runners competed in the 26th annual Azalea Trail Run in Mobile, Al. Two runners, Zachary Croley and Alexandra Johnson, completed their first 5k race. The following runners were awarded for a top 10 place in their age group:
Male 0-9: Isaac Hennessey 1st place
Male 10-14: Parker Gilley 3rd place, Knox Williams 10th place
Male 15-19: Ben Noland 1st place, Zachary Croley 4th place
Female 40-44: Coach Henry 10th place
Ben Noland and Alexandra Johnson were the first male and female to cross the finish line from Trinitas. Isaac Hennessey, Ben Noland, Caleb Price, and Grant Henry set new personal records. Congratulations to all our Knights.
The final 5k race for the running club 2013-2014 season is Saturday, May 3rd at the Five Flags Fiesta run in Pensacola! Thank you, Knights fans, for your support!
Friday, February 28th Trinitas Christian School hosted the One Blood mobile blood center and collected 25 pints of blood from students, parents, and staff. Approximately 75 lives will be saved due to the generosity of these individuals.
Mary Proffit Kimmel, a Trinitas Christian School alumna and English major at Hillsdale College was selected as the college’s Senior Woman of the Year. Hillsdale seniors nominate three students from whom the faculty and staff vote for the honoree. This distinction is bestowed upon a woman of high moral character, scholarship, and stewardship. After graduation, Miss Kimmel intends to teach, work in marketing, or work in public relations. According to the Hillsdale Collegian, “She is a member of the Honors Program, Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and the math, classics, and literature honoraries. During her time at Hillsdale she sang in chamber choir and volunteered at The Manor, a home for abused and handicapped kids. She works at Jitters and teaches Latin at the Hillsdale Preparatory School.”

The Double Bridge Run was a great victory for our Trinitas runners! There were over 30 Trinitas students and parents who participated in the Double Bridge 5k this past Saturday. Five Trinitas runners brought home first and second place placings!

In this first year of Panhandle Christian Conference (PCC) competition, Trinitas Knights were first place team champions and brought home the trophy! Six of the eight individual placings in the PCC competition were from Trinitas.

Twenty-seven students and parents raced in the Ho Ho Hustle this last Saturday, December 14th. Many students achieved a new personal record for their fastest 5k times. Our runners finishing in the top three of their age groups were:
