Egyptian Day is a beloved feast day which our 2nd grade students enjoy each year.  Students have a chance to weave baskets from reeds, craft cartouches from clay, and model for personal Tutankhamen masks.  Our parents come to enjoy the festivities and are on hand to mold the plaster of paris creations and serve the authentic Egyptian feast which included dates and raisins, hummus and pita, and chicken stew with meloukhia.  This year all were able to enjoy the finale, an original skit on Moses and the burning bush.
