Our Third grade class recently enjoyed a trip to the Pensacola Lighthouse Museum onboard NAS, Pensacola. After their studies on light energy and types of lenses, the students had a chance to see a Fresnel Lens up close and personal. Students and parents were also able to see pulleys,  old privies, and the kerosene shed. They enjoyed visiting the home of the lighthouse keeper and his family and, of course, climbing the 177 steps of the historic 1859 lighthouse.   Their day concluded with a picnic lunch and enjoying some fun and fellowship on the beach. Thank you, Mrs. Phillips for a wonderful and very memorable field trip!
